We sold our house and then nearly everything we owned. And what the online auctions didn’t sell, we gave to friends and strangers.
Yeah, the fever hit us pretty hard. And the only cure was to dramatically downsize, tell bewildered friends and family we would be living in 650 square feet, and drive off in our compact SUV stuffed with our few remaining possessions.
In 2021 we moved into a Tiny Home we had never seen. There was no model to tour and there were not photos to see. It did not exist beyond renderings in a brochure fanned out to its full glory on the wooden desktop of the Tiny Home Community sales associate.
We learned a LOT from the process of rightsizing that will be helpful for anyone considering living in a Tiny Home. In future posts, I will be sharing what life was like in a Tiny Home Community - the good, the bad, and the mildly frustrating.
